When Michael and Ann Bourke set off for the Granite Belt on their motorcycles in March 2010, little did they realise that 9 months later they would be the proud owners of Jester Hill Wines.
Established in 1993 with the first plantings, Jester Hill Wines strives to ensure the unique Continental climate of the Granite Belt region is represented in every bottle.
Jester Hill Wines is a family owned and operated winery. Michael and Ann believe there is a wine for everybody and our wide range of styles and varieties is sure to find favour with even the most discerning palate.
The modern cellar door and beautiful grounds surrounded by vines lend themselves to celebration. Whatever your reasons for revelry, we can make the arrangements. Sunday lunch for 12, birthday dinner for 20 or an intimate wedding for 60 – utilise our cellar door, terrace and landscaped gardens to create your perfect day – high tea on the lawn, canapes in the winery between barrels, supper at a long table amongst the vines…
In April of each year, Jester Hill Wines has an afternoon and evening of entertainment, food and wine. In past years there has been some hilarious versions of Shakespeare’s plays courtesy of
The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble. With Court Jesters, Jokers and music it is fabulous mid-autumn entertainment.
The beautiful extensions to the cellar door were opened on April 1 2007 and April Fool’s has become the foundation day celebrations. With a dedicated large-group tasting area in the cellar door, bus and coach tours can be catered for without impacting on the special attention paid to individuals.
The cellar door is open from 10am to 5pm Friday to Monday. Tastings are free. We have well trained and courteous staff to make the experience pleasurable and educational.
The Jester Cafe is now open. Click here for more information on the Jester Cafe.
