Southern Queensland Country Regional Food Network (SQCRFN)
Our mission is to share and showcase the unique culture and authentic regional food and wine experiences of Southern Queensland Country.
In 2009, the two regional tourism organizations of Toowoomba Golden West and South Burnett Tourism and Southern Downs & Granite Belt Tourism obtained a grant through Tourism Queensland to develop the food and wine experience. Creating closer connections between producers and consumers to create these authentic experiences is our goal, and below is the roadmap.
The Southern Queensland Country Regional Food Network (SQCRFN) became incorporated in December 2012.
Our thanks to Hon. Jon McVeigh, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, for launching this plan on August 31, 2012.
For more information on how to get involved, please feel free to contact the SQCRFN at See: www.seasonalfeast.com.au or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Outcomes progressed from this plan are ongoing. On the 24th of May 2013, the regional food brand, created by the network was launched.
The Southern Queensland Country Food and Wine Touring site was also launched on this day – see www.savoursqc.com.au for trails and quality food and wine experiences.
