The Ananda Mela Festival of Bliss is a vibrant spiritual festival that celebrates cultural diversity, encourages environmental sustainability initiatives and promotes the practice of yoga and meditation as a pathway to great health and well-being.
The event in 2020 will be the 38th consecutive Mela and for the first time will be held at Leslie Dam near the town of Warwick, a key rural city nestled on the banks of the Condamine River in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland.
This year’s festival theme, `Practicing Spiritual Ecology’ focuses on the integration of meditation & yoga as a perspective to live in harmony with out planet. Enjoy the energising effect of music for social transformation, an abundance of gourmet vegetarian and vegan food in a delightful setting with people of like mind and interests.
And, there is a great facilitated program for kids including canoeing, paddle boarding and climbing!
This year the Mela will also incorporate a special event - the Granite Belt Eco Sunday - featuring key note speakers Professor Sohail Inayatullah, a world-renowned futurist and Professor Ian Lowe AO, a leading environmental scientist.
