The Granite Belt Eco Sunday is a unique event with the participation of Professor Sohail Inayatullah, a world-renowned futurist and Professor Ian Lowe AO, a leading environmental scientist now confirmed.
The day will begin with a Spiritual Ecology workshop that will explore the foundations of yogic thought through music and songs facilitated by Ananda Marga.
Dr Inayatullah (awarded the first UNESCO Chair in his field) will facilitate discussion revolving around visions of new futures and draw on these creative insights to develop new perspectives for the Granite Belt while Ian Lowe will discuss planning for transitioning to Low-Carbon Societies.
The program for the day includes a separate Eco Sunday Program for teenagers, fun and engaging activities for children, live music and a delicious vegetarian/vegan lunch.
Granite Belt Eco Sunday is an integral component of the Ananda Mela Festival of Bliss and this year will be held at the Camp Leslie Dam near the town of Warwick, a vibrant rural city known for its impressive historic buildings and stately churches nestled on the banks of the Condamine River in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland.
