Enjoy a succulent four course hot meal served up under the stars at the Kingaroy Observatory, while professional astronomer and mine host James Barclay, takes you on a unique Green Laser Pointer guided commentary tour of the Night Skies, pointing out various Constellations and Stars, while you sip on Kingsley Grove Estate local South Burnett wines and your choice of spirits.
James will tell you the facts of what he points to that will have you reeling of just how small our planet and Solar System is, compared to what makes up our Milky Way galaxy.
During the 4 hour, 6pm to 10pm session, you also get to view through the Observatory's three large professional telescopes, of Nebulas. Star Clusters, Galaxies and Binary Stars to name a few, as James gives an ongoing commentary off what you are viewing and some facts that defines the imagination.
Complimentary drink on arrival at 5.30pm for a 6pm sit down.
If it's cloudy, the dinner still proceeds outside. If its raining, the dinner is held under cover. Each attendee will then get a Rain-Check receipt valid for 3 months to come back and enjoy a 2 hour observing session.
