Brisbane to Ballandean

Girraween National Park

Travel the Cunningham Highway via the quaint township of Aratula to Warwick, known for its roses and rodeo. Call into the Warwick Visitor Information Centre for a copy of the self-guided Heritage Buildings Trail. Girraween to Toowoomba

Rudds Pub

Travel back through Warwick and the quintessential country town of Clifton which has been used in a number of Australian movies including ‘The Thornbirds’. Just a short drive north of Clifton is the village of Nobby and the well known Rudd’s Pub, dedicated to author Steele Rudd. See the Sister Kenny memorial who lived in the area and was known for her revolutionary treatment for the victims of polio. Continue your drive to the Garden City of Toowoomba.

Lark Quarry Winton

Join a full day tour to Lark Quarry to view the world's only recorded fossilised footprints of a dinosaur stampede from 95 million years ago. This site was once a streambed leading into a lake. The water level had dropped, exposing mudflats. When the dinosaurs stampeded, they left perfect footprints in the half dried and still plastic mud.
