Artist: Angus Wilson Coat of Arms - Australia Built in 2014, the ‘Coat of Arms’ is a huge, iconic sculpture that marks the entrance to Goondiwindi from the Cunningham Highway. Artist Angus Wilson is a Goondiwindi local who has a love of re-using old materials and breathing new life into them as pieces of sculpture. Look out for several of Angus’s distinctive works across the region. Once Upon A Time Beside the ‘Coat of Arms’ you’ll find ‘Once Upon a Time’, a 2019 sculpture that further celebrates the artistic transformation of old objects. The surrounding birds are Australia’s infamous white Ibises; the words ‘Once Upon a Time’ were crafted in collaboration with local school students, who painted each letter prior to their installation.
