Oracle's Way is a 64 kilometre round trip between Stanthorpe and Tenterfield. Heading East from Stanthorpe, the journey takes you through Amosfield and Liston, passing the lavender fields at Aloomba Lavender and the impressive 150 metres of Undercliffe Falls - part of the Bookookoorara Creek. It then journeys past unique landscapes and country viewing and some very well known wonders of the natural world such as Wilsons Downfall, Girraween National Park, Bald Rock, Boonoo Boonoo, before arriving in Tenterfield. After a stopover in Tenterfield, Oracle's Way journeys back to Stanthorpe via the New England Highway, with plenty of opportunities for stopping and savoring local produce along the way.

Oracle's Way
The journey travels through some of the most unique landscapes of the Granite Belt and takes you past some of the well-known wonders of the natural world of south east Queensland. Be mesmerised by water at Undercliffe Falls, located on the Bookookoorara Creek 27 kilometres east of Stanthorpe via Liston. The falls descend 150 metres, over a 30 metre wide rock face into a deep pool ideal for swimming in summer. Divert off Oracles Way, north of Liston and discover Aloomba Lavender Farm — the perfect place to pick up a beautiful gift and learn about the value of lavender. It is also a 4000 acre cattle farm and a lovely place to stop for a relaxing rest and look around. Further down the path is Bald Rock, located in Bald Rock National Park (NSW) and adjoining Girraween National Park. The impressive granite dome (measuring 750 metres long and 500 metres wide) rises to 1277 metres above sea level and towers about 200 metres above of the surrounding bushland.
Boonoo Boonoo National Park protects one of the region’s few remaining natural river landscapes and is home to the inspiring Boonoo Boonoo Falls, the highest in the region at 210 metres. Further along Mt Lindesay Road is another hideout of the notorious bushranger Captain Thunderbolt. There is a path to the hideout, about 300 metres from the parking area. Large granite boulders form two caves. This area is also home to a significant part of World War II history. A cement wall and upright posts are remnants of the Brisbane Line fortifications established as Australia’s second line of defence in case of an invasion from the north. On the return trip from Tenterfield, Oracle's Way will take you back to Stanthorpe via the New England Highway where there are options for savoring local produce along the way.
