Southern Queensland wineries

As a wine-producing region Queensland’s wineries have been at the forefront of Australia’s growth in numbers, exploding ten-fold over the last 20 years to now well and truly hold our own among the country’s better known regions.

Of the hundreds of wineries in the State, the vast majority can be found in Southern Queensland Country where the climate and soil are conducive to chardonnay, tempranillo, shiraz, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon.

Southern Queensland has been quietly producing wines at an international standard, so if you enjoy a drop or two (or thee, or four…) in the crisp countryside, come out and visit.
